ITVs Adam Crozier lines up big hitters

Adam Crozier is scheming to parachute in a heavy-hitting programme builder to lead ITVs prolongation arm as one of his initial acts at the helm of the broadcaster.

The former Royal Mail chief, who starts on Apr 26, has already started identifying possibilities to run ITV Studios, that creates Emmerdale and documentaries such as Joanna Lumleys Nile.

Frontrunners for the purpose are approaching to be Kevin Lygo, Channel 4s senior manager of television, and Lorraine Heggessey, arch senior manager of Talkback Thames, builder of The Bill. The stream studios supremo Lee Bartlett is approaching to be sidelined.

Crozier wants ITV Studios to find new strike shows it can export. It does not own the formats to dual of the greatest ratings successes, Britains Got Talent and The X Factor.
